What is a Mortgage Credit Certificate (MCC) and where do I get a copy of it?

A Mortgage Credit Certificate (MCC) is issued by state or local governments that allows homebuyers to claim a tax credit for part of their mortgage interest charged. The state or local housing finance agency is responsible for issuing the certificate, U.S. Bank does not have a copy.
