Our patient-centered BSN curriculum provides students with the knowledge, skill, and understanding necessary to practice in all areas of professional nursing. The versatility learned at Shepherd makes them an asset in any clinical setting. The BSN program is open to juniors and seniors. Freshmen and sophomores are designated as Pre-Nursing students. Students become candidates for admission into the nursing program in their sophomore year.
Whether you are planning to become a registered nurse or advance your career through our DNP, we will properly prepare you for the field through our rigorous curriculum, specialized nursing classrooms, and simulation labs. An alternative to research-focused doctoral programs, the DNP advances professional nursing roles in clinical practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) -or a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
The Post Graduate Certificate Programs provide advanced practice nurses with essential skills for the provision of healthcare in a variety of clinical settings. Our programs provide holistic, patient-centered care with a focus on the ideals of integrated systems and shared decision-making.
